One evening not unlike many others, I was in the mood to draw something. I saw my daughter’s sneakers on the floor and loved the purple against the honey oak wood. So I picked them up, and dropped them in an area where I could spot them with my light, and where I could sit comfortably with my drawing board. I had the most enjoyable time, seeing the changes in the purple shadows, and the color changes in the whites found all over the shoes. I love how the shadows appeared, mostly with only the color of the paper. This was a very fun subject to draw, and received a lot of attention.

I think my daughter deserves sneakers in every color don’t you?
